IT Support Analyst required for a medium / large organisation currently going through a period of growth with real opportunities for career progression for the right candidate.

 

Skills Experience:   

· You must possess EXCELLENT communication skills 

· 2-3 years + service desk support experience required 

· Hands on experience with Microsoft office 2007 is desirable 

· Microsoft operating systems (7, XP, 2000 etc)

 

You will have demonstrated experience in a Service Desk role. You will be providing 1st and 2nd line support to approximately 300 staff across 4 sites with this number rapidly growing. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

 

·         Logging, updating and resolving calls in the helpdesk system

·         Troubleshooting software / hardware problems - Video Conferencing, Laptops, Desktops, Printers

·         Installing, configuring and decommissioning I.T Assets

·         Administering user accounts – Active Directory

·         VIP Support

·         Contributing Documentation to knowledgebase

·         VPN setup / support for remote users – LAN/WAN TCP/IP

·         Mobile phone setup /support

·         Out of hours support phone 1 week of the month.

 

It is essential that your communication and customer service skills are second to none.

 

The emphasis is on customer service, discussing urgency and impact with the customer, and correctly logging the call in customer terminology. Ideally you will have a sense of ownership that will ensure that, where possible, you fix the issue at first point of contact rather than logging and flicking the call to another support team. To assist with first call resolution there is a Knowledge Base and a team of 5 I.T staff.
