IT Support Desk Assistant required to join a leading Software House in Southampton, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be supporting the day to day activity of several projects, from initial contact right through to post-delivery, managing client expectations and working to tight deadlines and timescales. You will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and conscientious with a wide range of skills. Demonstrating flexibility, organisational skills and resourceful under pressure. My client is close to the train station and has free on site parking.
Key skills required:
• Able to investigate, interpret, analyse and report on system defects found both internally and externally on the system and advise Clients knowledgeably about the issue.
• Able to log defaults and manage through to final resolution, where possible.
• Able to work effectively both on their own and as part of a team.
• Excellent Administration skills.
• Excellent Customer Services skills.
• Excellent verbal written communication skills.
• Able to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues and communicate well with them at all levels and experience.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word MS Excel.
• Able to pick up new systems with ease and accuracy.
In addition to the Key skills, there may be requirements to help in other areas of the business from time to time, as and when required.
Desirable but not essential:
• Experience of working within a software house environment.
• Good working knowledge of MS Project PowerPoint.
• Previous training experience.
• Software testing experience.
• Database query/analysis.
