Work with a World Leader in the Healthcare industry in Newark, NJ, the state's oldest and largest health insurer, as an IT Vendor Outsourcing Specialist.
Position Description:
IT Vendor Outsourcing Specialist responsibilities consist of working with both new and renewal contracts. This includes drafting and negotiating:
- IT contracts.
- Statements of work.
- Service Level Agreements.
- Amendments for compliance with Company requirements, goals and business directives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to managing reviews, the Specialist will be responsible for:
- Understanding and incorporating organizational service standards.
- Interfacing with the IT and Legal Departments to ensure approval and compliance.
- Resolving contractual language.
- Monitoring activities to ensure vendor performance.

This is an estimated one-year PLUS contingent / temporary position in Newark, NJ, through Volt Technical Resources, based in New York, NY. Requirements:
Required Skills for this IT Vendor Outsourcing Specialist position include the following:
- Five (5) years of progressive experience/familiarity with and knowledge of the following essential:
- Contracting concepts
- Auditing procedures
- Managed Care
- Health Insurance
- Legal/Regulatory landscape for NY and NJ
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical/business field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Contract Administration/Vendor Management, emphasizing external vendor selection and interface
- Any experience with RFI/RFP processes, and/or within the health insurance industry considered an asset
- Solid communication, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and technical skills required, which should include working with Windows applications and various databases
