RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Co-ordinate the shipping department schedule and manpower to ensure that the flow of products from the plant as well as inbound products from other plants to Weston warehouses, to independent distributors to corporate stores to assure all orders are filled delivered on time;
· Monitors the unloading, sorting loading of product to assure proper handling minimize product damage;
· Ensures consistent application of corporate shipping processes procedures;
- Responsible for all BAAN related activity’s including print and reconciling received products and entries into BAAN.
- Manage the administrative duties, filing, update of files and reports, data entries and integrity of audit tracking.
- Ensure 3rd party drivers have signed in prior to pick up of shipments.
- Process information to provide reports for weekly, monthly and annual period end
- Support Health and Safety initiatives to ensure that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality, safety, environment standards are being met
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Completion of high school graduation diploma
· Minimum 4 years experience in the warehousing industry preferably in a distribution environment.
· Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment
· Attention to detail with accuracy of information data
· Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
· Working knowledge of MS word, Excel and E-Mail
· Must be a self starter who is able to identify service problems and to quickly determine action plan
· Flexibility and availability for shift work is required
