- Analyze business and technical requirements for new systems application component development enhancements(Mobile) and collaborate with the Technical Consultants / Solutions Architects and Developers to drive the design and development process.
- Work with other Development Analysts or independently translate requirements into system low level system / application designs (LLD). May contribute to parts of the high level design (HLD) for smaller projects.
- Prepare detailed design documents and coding specs.
- Work with the Technical Consultants to develop test plans and test cases.
- The Development Analyst II may be called upon to perform development based on workload spikes (generally 70% of time spent in component design and 30% coding).
- Perform RD and create proof of concept designs to support the design approach.
- Work with the Project Managers, Technical Consultants and Development Managers to provide time/hours estimates for design, development and testing at various stages of the project lifecycle, and oversee the design and development tasks for his/her team across multiple projects.
- Stay abreast of trends and the latest technology in his/her areas of expertise.
- Work with the ongoing support teams as needed to resolve critical production defects.
- When needed, support technical leads in client and vendor discussions.
- Works with other internal teams including Infrastructure and Operations to ensure applications / systems are deployed to Production and properly maintained.
Required Experience (the more the better):
- 3-5 years of experience in the design of large and complex transactional web based applications using J2EE technology
- 1+ years of experience with Mobile Development Java EE (servlets, JSPs, etc)
- Web application development frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC) Javascript and Javascript libraries such as jQuery mobile, YUI, Sencha, AJAX Subversion or similar
- SCM experience Ant, Maven, Continuous Integration concepts
Preferred Experience:
- Web Services experience (REST, SOAP/WSDL/XSD, including WS-Security, XML DSIG), Apache Axis2 / Rampart CSS Previous Mobile Development(iPhones/Androids) WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss application deployment, Eclipse IDE SAML 2.0
- Experience working with integrated on and off shore teams
- Experience working as part of a virtual team
Some virtual work may be acceptable - Lincolnshire, IL office
