Harrington Starr is working with a Foreign Exchange Web based Trading Platform to find an Enterprise Java Web Developer to work in an agile development team creating new features and functionality for both the platform.
As the Senior Java Web Developer (Core J2SE, J2EE, GWT, AJAX, HTML, JDBC) you will be working with a team of C# Developers in the UK and a team of Java Developers in the US on the development of this trading platform. You will be bridging the gap between the two teams and helping to introduce Java into the UK team. This is a key strategic role for the firm going forward and will give you the opportunity to become a key member of the team in the UK as you introduce Java. You will need to use the latest technologies to develop on both the server side and UI of this platform that is used by 1000's of users.
You will be working on the communication between the two teams and working closely with passionate technologists on the platform.
The Senior Java Web Developer (Core J2SE, J2EE, GWT, AJAX, HTML, JDBC) will need:
* Strong understanding of Java Development - Essential
* Experience with Enterprise technologies such as JDBC or JAXB - Highly Beneficial
* Experience with front end technologies such as JavaScript or HTML - Highly Beneficial
* Knowledge of AJAX frameworks such as Ext-JS, Google Web Toolkit or GXT - Beneficial
* Any knowledge of C# - Beneficial
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Java Web Developer (Core J2SE, J2EE, GWT, AJAX, HTML, JDBC)to join a well known Web based Trading platform in a team that is highly technology focused. You will be able to learn both Google Web Toolkit and C# as well as working closely with development teams in both the states and the UK.
