Sr. Java Developer III

Job Description:
Client is a fast-paced and rapidly growing Dallas, TX based corporation with an immediate full-time position available for a Senior Java Developer. We are the leader in web-based behavioral assessments and are always expanding our product offering. We are seeking a competent Java developer to design and code new product features while supporting the internal development needs of the company. The right candidate will have proven success producing quality code in a timely manner and will thrive in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
Skills Required
• Minimum of 5 years of Java programming experience
• Design and develop components of multi-tier web application using Java, JSP, Struts, SQL Server, HTML, and JavaScript
• Experience with JSP, HTML, Struts, and Unix/Linux
• Ability to understand and write complex SQL queries
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice to have skills
• Experience with Eclipse or Tomcat and Web Services is a plus
• Experience with J2EE, JPA, Hibernate, SOA a plus
Responsibilities Include:
• Focus on strategic client-facing software project deliverables while remaining flexible as needed to handle smaller programming tasks.
• Support requirements definition and deliver full technical design in concert with Architecture team.
• Provide accurate estimates for project technical design and construction phases.
• Produce well-planned, well-structured, high-quality code that has been independently unit tested and peer reviewed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Detail orientation, organizational skills, and good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
• "Can Do" attitude with entrepreneurial spirit
