JAVA / C++ Developer (Operational Support) recruitment
Flow Traders heavily invests in the development of state-of-the-art trading software in order to maximize our performance and facilitate our international expansion. Currently we are looking for a skilled C++ / JAVA Developer who likes to work in a fast paced environment where anticipation on evolving trader- and market-demands are key.
The Role
In this attractive position you are responsible for operational development support of cutting-edge applications to automate international trading processes in close cooperation with the traders. You will operate close to the business and strive to anticipate evolving trader- and market-demands.
Responsibilities include day-to-day 1st to 3rd level support of traders and Middle Office applications designing tools from scratch and fine-tune existing applications, including failure analysis, bug fixing, developing maintenance scripts and monitoring IT-related trends.
Your profile
You have full knowledge of the development lifecycle and are able to design, implement, test, benchmark, deploy and document changes. In this role you will be challenged to strike a perfect balance between firm deadlines and long-term sustainability.
Requirements
- At least 4 to 5 years hands-on experience In JAVA and C++ development;
- Ability to divide your time between day-to-day development support (70%) and projects (30%)
- Understanding of the Financial industry and products;
- Experience in either windows and / or UNIX/Linux platform;
- Practical experienced with Bloomberg tools;
- Knowledge of Database Administration;
- Ability to formulate out-of-the-box solutions that optimize systems performance.
- Outgoing, decisive, analytical and innovative are competences that you possess.
- Strong preference to work in a volatile working-environment
- A hands-on and pragmatic attitude
- Fluent English communication skills
- Experience with FIX Protocol and broker APIs are a plus.
