My client is a global financial services company who specialise in trade processing and data valuations, they work with high volumes of complex data and work with highly transactional systems.
They have an award winning electronic trade confirmation and reconciliation platform for trade transaction processing globally. This platform interacts with a number of Oracle databases which are relied upon for their performance and stability. This Oracle team consist of a number of Oracle Developers as well as two teams that sit either side of the core development team that focus on C++ and DBA.
This excellent opportunity is for a Senior Oracle Database Architect who is very hands-on with performance and is an expert In re-designing OLTP databases to improve performance and scalability with a focus on tuning performance related PL/SQL Code. This Oracle OLTP Database Architect will be the product champion within the team and be the focal point for all database design and performance related issues and act as the Oracle product champion. They will work closely with various different business streams across multiple asset classes and be responsible for defining the strategic roadmaps and setting the teams overall strategic direction.
