A highly skilled Java developer is required for an expanding electronic trading desk at a leading Investment Bank. There are no BA’s in the team and role offers full responsibility from day one, from working directly with the trading team to developing a lightweight Java trading system from the ground up. The ideal applicant will come from a spread betting or gaming background but hold a strong interest in finance, in particular to work in a revenue generating business unit.
Requirements
• Large scale, core Java server-side development experience within a structured environment.
• Experience of building large scale, high throughput, low latency, multi-threaded server side applications.
• RBSMS – Sybase, Oracle
• Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle and supporting tools such as Subversion, Maven, Hudson, JIRA, Fisheye etc
Additional/Useful skills
• Electronic Trading/Ecommerce
• Experience working with Traders
• C#/.NET
