Job Description
My client is one of the world leaders in financial services and they have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer to join their investment banking and prime brokerage division
*Experience in J2EE Architecture, Hibernate and Spring
*Experience with Oracle Database
*Banking experience, specifically in Order Mgmt and Post Trade if possible
*Architecture capabilities along with desire to be nearly full time hands on development work
*Experienced in point to point messaging along with pub/sub capabilities in Tibco or IBM MQ
Qualifications
*Strong Java, Hibernate, JBOSS, and Swing -
Strong knowledge of J2EE, Spring, JMS and XML.
*Good knowledge Web Sphere MQ and Tibco EMS.
*Knowledge of Mule ESB
*Proficient at UNIX Solaris/Linux and MS Windows. UNIX Shell and Perl. Scripting.
*Good knowledge of Sybase and ANSI SQL or Transact-SQL ISQL, BCP, SQL queries and Stored Procedures.
*Object oriented design and programming as well being at least familiar with design patterns with a pre-requisite.
*Good understanding of full software life cycle development process
*Ideal but not essential experience working in financial markets with knowledge in some or all PB supported products especially Stock Lending.
*Strong experience of working in a software development and/or support capacity in a time critical financial markets environment
