Java Developer with Investment Banking experience required for Equities IT Portfolio Trading team at UBS
This role is for a person who is a team player, capable of developing business-critical software in an environment that requires flexibility and high productivity. The developer responsibilities include;
- Develop the Java middle-tier. The majority of the development work is project based. Its anticipated that the application will undergo fundamental changes in the new few years.
- Maintain source code
- Contribute to projects being on schedule and meeting client needs and be involved in the various stages of the project life cycle.
- Developing own skill sets to match the changing technological environment within the bank.
- Report to the Project Manager.
You will possess:
- Good knowledge of the Equity business and ideally portfolio trading
- Strong knowledge of middle-tier based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of CORBA (preferably visibroker).
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g. FIX, MQ).
- Knowledge of relational databases.
Java is essential.
Knowledge of UNIX scripts and SQL would be an advantage.
