Java Swing Developer (Singapore and London)
My client is a global Investment Bank and a major player in the FX business with impressive performance year on year. They have a fantastic, award-winning eTrading platform and are recognised in the Foreign Exchange market as highly innovative. Due to a huge amount of investment in their global FX technology they are increasing their development capabilities across London and Singapore and have a number of development opportunities within Java, specifically Swing. They pride themselves of having the best technologists working on the most exciting initiatives in the industry, retaining their industry lead with GUI and developing new trading environments.
As a key part of the global FX Technology team you will be a hands on Developer, responsible for writing the highest quality code and ensuring the most system can cope with it's volume of trades. This is a Front Office Developer role, you will be sitting directly on the trade floor and become and expert in the rapidly growing FX business. You will provide subject matter expertise on front end GUI development in Java Swing, developing on a newly migrated Oracle platform. This is a highly visible team within the bank and this role can lead onto a number of exciting career paths.
My client is looking for the highest quality developers with strong Java, specifically Java Swing experience. You should have extensive experience developing Swing and experience with C++ server side development. Candidates must have developed on an Oracle Database and exposure to Sybase would be beneficial. You should have excellent messaging skills, ideally using Solace. Experience working in Investment Banking would be beneficial however, Swing experience in any industry is acceptable.
