Java Technical Team Lead recruitment
A leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation is seeking a Java Technical Team Lead.
Working closely with the local commercial segments, and in conjunction with the global technology group, and local technology teams, you will be leading the software development lifecycle for online and mobile legal research tools.
Responsibilities
*Ensures delivery of applicable modules of technical projects to agreed plans
*Keeps all stakeholders up to date with progress of projects.
*Understands and interprets business requirements and goals, and identifies solutions.
*Defines, estimates and owns technical implementations.
*Clearly explains solutions, options and issues to stakeholders.
*Co-ordinate resolution of technical issues across multiple teams.
*Acts as a mentor to less experienced developers - providing technical guidance and direction, developing their skills and competences.
Essential experience:
*Strong proven technical skills.
*Degree in Computer Science coupled with solid development experience.
*Will have a proven track record in a lead or senior role and will consequently have well developed technical and soft skills.
*Strong mentoring and coaching skills, able to lead by example and well respected by peers.
*Proven track record of delivery.
Desirable experience:
*Working with agile development methodology.
*Experience in a similar working environment.
*Exposure to the challenges of working in a changing environment, demonstrating excellent adaptability and a positive attitude.
