Java/J2EE FX Developer- LONDON recruitment
A leading Investment Bank is looking for an excellent Java/J2EE developer to join their expanding team concentrating on cutting edge Eclipse UI design and J5EE server side programming. The successful candidate will be working within the foreign exchange cash trading group, delivering a front-to-back straight through processing low latency solutions. A Greenfield project offering a lot of visibility to the business with the chance to move between products. The role will also involve integration with the Back Office and Risk Management components of the application
Technical requirements for Java/J2EE FX Developer- LONDON
Required Skills
- Eclipse IDE
- Java 5/6
- J2EE/J5EE including EJB and Web Services
- JPA/Hibernate/SQL
- Unix basics
- JUnit/JMock
- Design Patterns
- Agile Development lifecycle experience
- Foreign Exchange or Financial Market Experience (strong asset, but not required).
- FX or Back Office business knowledge would be a strong advantage although is not necessary.
Responsibilities for Java/J2EE FX Developer- LONDON
- Implementing FX Strategic and FX Sales Trading solutions. Developing the main trade execution application to capture Spot, Forward, NDF, Timeoption and Swap FX cash products, working on the pricing engine for all such products.
• Working in a SCRUM/Agile environment. Reporting your progress during the daily SCRUM, and providing realistic estimates at the beginning of a sprint/iteration
• A Greenfield project, with a chance to explore new technologies and to work within new financial products.
- The team works in a Test Driven/Continuous Integration development environment. The candidate will be expected to have experience in test driven development tools such as Junit/JMock, and deliver well written test cases with a high level of code coverage.

The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and to take on a challenge. Willingness to gain an understanding of the business is imperative in order to deliver innovative and robust solutions within the role. Strong Java/J2EE skills, EJB, Hibernate and Eclipse are highly desirable. Experience working within an FX environment or a desire to learn the area are highly desirable. A graduate background is essential, preferably in maths, physics or computer science.
