While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires normal manual dexterity speech and hearing. The position requires walking, sitting, climbing steps, traveling, occasionally lifting of file drawers and other items up to 50 lbs., moving of equipment and furniture, entering and exiting Army equipment, and periods of field duty in all environments including extreme climate conditions. The operation of a motor vehicle is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job require the frequent use of a computer monitor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Bowhead is looking for a Journeyman Operations Research Analyst to fill an exempt management analyst position. Responsibilities will include the development of methodologies and conducting complex studies concerning Army materiel and logistics systems.
Analyze current Army systems, identify problems, recommend solutions, and provide quantitative basis upon which decision-makers can alter policies, plans, and programs.
Provide analysis of proposed changes of processes, systems, and or product design using knowledge of engineering, production, systems, and procurement activities to determine overall effect, and coordinates recording of changes and modifications for management control.
Gather and analyze maintenance and supply data in order to address logistics issues of fielded and development equipment, both ground and aviation equipment.
Apply innovative scientific and mathematical approaches to analysis.
Negotiate and work under time pressure without compromising the quality of the analysis is a key to success.
Brief management, upper echelons, and other services and organizations on analysis results.
Maintain an understanding of the issues related to the life cycle of Army materiel.
Keep informed on advances in technology and new theories and concepts in the analytical arena.
Work as part of a team.
Possibility of OCONUS Assignments.
