Position Description:
Headquartered in Newport Beach, CA, Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. designs, develops and sells semiconductor solutions for communications applications in the wireline and wireless network infrastructure, which includes today's separate but interrelated and converging enterprise, broadband access, metropolitan and wide area networks. Our products are classified into three focused product families: multiservice access, high--performance analog and wide area networking communications. Our products are sold to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for use in a variety of network infrastructure equipment, including voice and media gateways, high--speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross--connect systems, add--drop multiplexers, digital loop carrier equipment, IP private branch exchanges (PBXs), optical modules, broadcast video systems and wireless base station equipment.
We have an immediate opening in our Newport Beach facility for a Test Engineer.
The Test Engineering candidate will work with our Test and Product Engineers to run characterization test on the ATE and in the lab. Also, will need to work with QA engineers on testing RMA's on the ATE and to get all required test data. Will have to support our pre-production runs on the ATE and to collect correlation data but also to take care of test deliverables for full production release/transfer.

Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate hands-on testing knowledge of mix-signal circuits using the Teradyne Catalyst platform. Experience with HP93000 is a plus. Test hardware design knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Experience with SOC digital products and hi-speed digital preferred. The job requires excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills. The candidate needs to be self driven and have the ability to multi-task. Experience required minimum 3 years in test development with a proven track record of delivering quality test programs in a fast paced environment. BSEE (or equivalent work exp.) is required and MSEE preferred.
