Jr/Sr Web Developer PHP, jQuery, MySQL at ThreatQuotient, Inc. (Fairfax, VA) (allows remote)
Job Description
ThreatQuotient is looking for a motivated, dedicated, bada$$ web developer to grow our Threat Intelligence platform. The ideal candidate must have a passion for solving challenging problems, developing elegant solutions, and be able to simultaneously "own" multiple projects.
Your daily routine may mimic something like this:
Roll out of bed and brew some coffee or sip a Monster drink (I don't judge!), put the kids on the school bus or slip on your favorite bunny ear slippers and tackle the day's new features, enhancements, and debugging to ensure that ThreatQ continues to connect indicators to adversaries. Stay connected to the team via Skype, Google Hangout, or simply IM. As you ninja-like accomplish milestones, commit to BitBucket, and think of new directions to take the product. A customer support ticket or conference call on occassion - sorry we can't get you out of those!
Skills Requirements
Required Skills:
-3+ years prowess in front-end/back-end web development
-3+ years experience in database development using MySQL or other relevant database technology
-Hands-on experience with the following: PHP, Javascript frameworks (jQuery/UI, JSON, AJAX, RESTful web services)
-HTML 5/CSS 3/XML and understanding of UI/UX design
-Working knowledge of agile software development
-Understanding of secure coding practices
-Passion and dedication: This is an early stage technical hire and only candidates who understand startup opportunities and challenges should apply
Preferred Skills:
-PHP framework experience
-Information Security experience/certifications
-UNIX administration
-BS degree in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
-Cyber threat analysis
