Overview:

Finance GT Algorithmic Solutions (AlgoS) team is the centre of competence for credit risk and regulatory processes within Deutsche Bank. Its core tasks include providing credit risk and regulatory advisory, calculation, analysis and interpretation of DB Groups credit and other regulatory exposures, preparation and distribution of internal and external reporting, transformation of internal and external requirements into optimised risk engines.

The AlgoS team is a specialist function in GT. AlgoS is the owner of the financial algorithms to evaluate regulatory credit and market risk measures, most notably Basel Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) under both, Basel 2 and Basel 3, Economic Capital (EC), Expected Loss and General Value Adjustments (EL/GVA), Large Loan Exposures under CRD4 and US OCC regulation. Key Responsibilities:

Facilitator of successful change
Understanding regulation and amendments to it
Discussion with stakeholders and facilitators like risk, business, RPAG, GCR, FD, GT, etc. Identification of data owner and sources.
Design algorithm and processes.
Building prototypes.
Performing of impact and test calculations. Compile BRD and documentation.
Design and write algorithms in a bespoke AlgoS business language, from which machine generated code is automatically created.
Continue to enhance the underlying generative programming framework.
Facilitate creation of FDD, TDD and actual technical build, in direct cooperation with GT A/S. Includes testing of the change.
Run algorithmic book of work, face off Finance and GT change functions, and ensure successful build of solution.
Ad hoc analytic services for senior stakeholders on very special topics, e.g. data mining, driver analysis, What-If, etc.
Take ownership and contribute to the successful and excellent delivery of the AlgoS core services listed above.
The teams' primary AlgoS external contacts are with RPAG (Regulatory Policy Advisory) Group Finance Change Functions, RISK MRM and RAI, GT (Group Technology), internal and external auditors
Continuous enhancements to existing regulatory framework (e.g. new deals, validation, etc)
Basel 3 (revised counterparty credit risk, central counterparty exposures, credit value adjustments CVA, leverage ratios).
Regulatory COREP reporting framework.
New Finance risk architecture STRIDE (e.g. data model, interfaces, etc)
A revised modularized and documented algorithmic framework which makes use of generative programming

You will have:

Engineer mindset (curiosity, desire to change things, to design shape processes, and to make projects happen)
Strong quantitative background
Academic/ BA/ Master grade in natural sciences, mathematics or economics
Proactive and open work attitude
Work autonomously as well as in team
Fluency in business English
Proficiency in MS Office Professional
Experience in, or exposure to scientific, technical or general programming (e.g. SAS, SQL, Perl, S/R/Mathematica, etc)
Exposure to credit risk measures and regulatory issues, preferably in a bank.
Exposure to a bank, controlling or risk management environment, preferably in a bank..
International working experience, preferably in a bank.
