Skills, Attributes and Credentials

Essential

Clear understanding of the role of and passion to be a sell-side analyst

Fully competent with Office Suite (advanced Excel and Powerpoint)

Good understanding of valuation techniques, their applicability and issues within each valuation methodology

Expertise in interpretation of financial and management information in own specialist sector

Able to communicate financial information effectively both verbally and in writing

Highly analytical, detail oriented and logical (completer/finisher)

Has a high degree of integrity, both with clients and colleagues

Demonstrates a clear ability to ‘think outside the box’

Able to plan own time effectively to ensure all information delivered error free and on time in a fast-paced and demanding environment; able to prioritise key task and meet strict deadlines; calm and focussed under pressure

Proven ability to complete complex projects both individually and by working with others

Proven track record as effective team member; confident in liaising with all staff across all departments of the business

Flexible approach to tasks and workload, including some mundane and repetitive tasks

Able to deliver a variety of tasks with minimal supervision

Able to demonstrate an innovative and proactive attitude to tasks 

Excellent attendance record

At least 2 years relevant experience

Desirable

CFA or ACA qualified

1st or 2:1 from reputable university

Permanent contract after probationary period
