The Role – Commodity Investor Products Sales
We are seeking a junior sales analyst who would like to make a real contribution in a high-performing team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support senior staff in prospecting for new client opportunities in the region
- Help build relationships and business with our existing client base
- Develop knowledge of commodity investor products market fundamentals, with a macro overlay
- Daily reporting and support to senior staff
- To be able to clearly communicate and analyse market movements
- Provision and creation of marketing materials for use in client presentations and pitches
- Responsibility for assisting in generating new client opportunities and investment ideas
- Book trades and support with middle office operations
Skills and experience required:
- First class organisational and time management skills
- A strong Academic background with Tertiary qualifications in a numerate discipline
- Adept at problem solving and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with working hours
- A confident team player with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills comfortable with phone and one to one interaction
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint Word
- Work experience gained from working in the industry
- Extremely numerate with strong mathematical skills
- Ability to analyse commodity investor product market fundamentals and macro themes
- Sound modelling and analytical capabilities and have a good derivatives understanding
- Pro-active and creative individual coupled with a demonstrated entrepreneurial nature and a commercial focus
