Junior Java Developer- Finance and Mobile Industry-Hong Kong recruitment
A Leading Global Financial Systems Provider is looking for a graduate from a strong educational background who is proficient in Java/J2EE to join a leading team of Java developers providing services to the Financial and Mobile sector. The Java/J2EE Developer will be given the opportunity to embark on a new Greenfield project, designing and building new components. Responsibilities include working on Web UI framework design for delivering financial information services and participate in RD projects and research for new Web UI, mobile devices and touch screen application related technologies. Successful candidates will participate in application development, architecture design and the implementation of real-time financial information systems or mobile solutions for our major clients. Requirements/ Responsibilities for Junior Java Developer- Hong Kong
- Strong Java/J2EE skills
- Hands on experiences in JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, J2SE, and JSP.
- Data connectivity experience- FIX
- Computer Science degree/ Financial Engineer’s degree (BSC/Masters/PHD)
- Equity Derivatives experience/knowledge- desirable
- Greenfield project- Design and build new components
- Will work on Web UI framework design for delivering financial information services.
- Will participate in RD projects and research for new Web UI, mobile devices and touch screen application related technologies.
- UI design experience, in particular for financial information applications, and preferably with wireframe design experience using tools like Axure.
- Knowledge in MySQL, Unix, Linux, TCP/UDP/multicast.
- Financial market and financial information knowledge, particularly in information presentation and trading application- desired
- Language requirement: English, Chinese, and preferably Mandarin.

The ideal candidate will have a Computer Science/ Financial Engineering degree from a top University and can demonstrate strong Java/ J2EE proficiencies with previous hands on experience. The ideal candidate be enthusiastic about cutting edge IT development, willing to working on multiple tasks under pressure, and enjoy teamwork. Financial knowledge (especially equity derivatives) and/or experience working on mobile applications is highly desirable.
