What you’ll do
Our Market Structure team maintains Optiver’s third party relationships and extends its networks in the financial industry. They are responsible for setting up new activities and products on exchanges in existing and emerging markets. The team keeps track of and analyses internal and external trends. In order to do this, they will maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Junior Market Structure analyst you will be working in a highly competitive and fast changing environment. You will be a strong operational link between our traders and our management team. Your daily tasks will consist of assisting the market structure team, managing internal and external data and reporting to our management team and traders. Tasks will be as diverse as keeping track and analysing trends in trading results, direct costs and activity through volumes, market shares and other statistics. Besides the daily tasks you want to improve and will take initiative to critically look at the current processes and streamline where necessary.
What you’ll need
- An Academic Degree;
- The ability to work in an accurate and structured way in order to lead projects;
- Excellent internal and external communication and teamworking skills;
- An affinity with financial markets;
- A numbers- and statistics orientated character;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and preferred experience with VBA;
- Good numerical and analytical skills;
- Very good verbal and written English skills.
