This is a fantastic opportunity to join the physical metal trading desk of a leading commodity producer marketer in their Beijing Office.

Our client is a global firm, that is a leader in the physical movement of commodities so logistics backgrounds work well in this role.
They are seeking an Chinese candidate with an entrepreneurial mentality to join their Physical Metal Trading Desk in Beijing after undergoing training in Europe for 3-6 months.
This role will suit an outgoing Chinese candidate who attended high school and University in Australia with strong grades, and has built up 2-4 years of finance or corporate experience ideally in logistics or commodities
Broadly speaking the successful Metals Trade Assistant applicant would be coordinating a range of tasks in support of the Metal Trading Desk based in the Beijing. The metals desk coordinates the physical sales and delivery of metal products - primarily Lead, copper and zinc.
Our client is ideally seeking an applicant who is a recent graduate with only a few years of post-university experience (2-4 years), someone who is quite entrepreneurial and ideally has some exposure to logistics or commodities. They will be a team player with an independent and flexible work attitude, eager to learn and develop with this global company.
Remuneration and rewards are variable depending on experience.
Typical responsibilities would include:
• Verification of all documents with Compliance and Company internal guidelines;
• Documentary monitoring of the contract from the beginning to the end, including co-managing of contract changes and corrections;
• Close interaction with worldwide offices for guidance on Chartering, Insurance, Finance, Legal and Compliance:
• Administration of Purchase and Sales contracts
Candidates must be Bi- Lingual Mandarin and English, have strong recent academics in finance, economics, business and be willing to move overseas initially to Europe and then to Beijing.
