Junior Mining Equity Researcher recruitment
NJF Search is currently working with an international research firm that is seeking a Mining Equity Research Analyst. This is a very strong research house with top ranked Senior Analysts and an excellent track record in delivering incisive equity research to a broad range of institutional investors, hedge funds and asset managers. The role, working alongside several senior analysts, will focus on report writing, financial modelling, valuations, analysis, monitoring news flow, attending company meetings, and helping clients with their enquiries. This role will act as number 2 Analyst on the desk as the Senior Analyst increases marketing efforts.
Responsibilities include:
•Build and update financial models on companies within the sector
•Create and maintain detailed information databases and valuation comparables
•Publish reports on the mining sector
•Prepare pre-results and post results updates on companies
•Develop relationships with internal and external clients
•Work closely with both the editorial and sales team to ensure high quality research is being produced
Person Specification
• Candidates will display an outstanding academic record, and a proven record of achievement within research, Investment Bank or the Metals Mining industry.
• Candidates will be coming from an sell-side organization and have no more than 2 years experience
• Candidates will display the potential to cover the desk while the Senior Analyst increases marketing efforts.
• Candidates require excellent communication skills and be comfortable liaising with external clients, MA and Sales teams
