Junior Murex Support Analyst – Investment Banking – South Africa

£400 per day + 3 Month Rolling Contract

My client is a leading global investment bank based in South Africa. They have a fantastic reach and reputation in global market and have offices in EMEA, ASIA-PAC and the AMERICAS. They are currently looking to hire a Junior Murex Support Analyst to join their Murex front to back support team. The team currently support the application and traders across several asset classes including Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Commodities and FX Derivatives. The candidate needs to have 1-2 years previous experience in supporting Murex applications, a level of business knowledge and ability to work in a fast paced front office environment supporting both traders and complex applications. The team support the application globally from South Africa.

Responsibilities for the Senior Murex Support Analyst – Investment Banking – , South Africa

(Support Analyst, Murex, Front Office, Equities, Equity Derivatives, Commodities, 3.11, UNIX, Sybase, SQL, Perl, Java, RTBS/MDCS, MDRS, Datamart, Mx Architecture, MxML, Mreport, SimAPI, Viewer)

• To provide technical Murex support and support traders across Equity Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Cash Equities and Commodity divisions globally

• To maintain the Murex system and its associated components (RTBS/MDCS, MDRS, Datamart, Mx Architecture, MxML, Mreport, SimAPI, Viewer) whilst ensuring that best practices are maintained front to back.

• To Build and maintain a good working relationship with other global support teams including project management, developers, customer managers and the user community

• Equivalent to 1 - 2 years experience supporting Murex 3.11 applications and components in a fast paced front office environment

• Good understanding of various financial products including Equity Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Cash Equities and Commodities

• English speaking

• Excellent team player, social and friendly personality is a must
