Position Description:
SunGard's asset management solutions help institutional investors, hedge funds, private equity firms, fund administrators and securities transfer agents improve both investment decision-making and operational efficiency, while managing risk and increasing transparency. SunGard's solutions support every stage of the investment process, from research and portfolio management, to valuation, risk management, compliance, investment accounting, transfer agency and client reporting.
The Junior Sales Executive role is a great opportunity to enter a growing Financial Services company and learn more on the financial markets, market data, as well as building strong business relationships with Switzerland based financial institutions.
The key duties are:
*Build and/or leverage relationships and work with key client Executive Decision Makers (some C-level personnel).
*Aggressively penetrate new accounts to insure sales quota achievement and increase revenue by introducing all products and services to assist in growing the clients' business.
*Provide consultative support ensuring that the client is leveraging all of SunGard's products and technology solutions / services as effectively and efficiently as possible.
*Interface with internal business partners to insure clients business and application needs are effectively communicated to other areas of the company including: Senior Management; Product Management; Account Management / Product Support; Data Center / Technology Group Product Development.
Leadership Responsibility for:
- Closing deals
- Meeting his/her sales targets
- Developing profitable and serviceable relationships
- Developing an aggressive sales pipeline of potential sales opportunities in assigned territory
- Maintaining Accurate Sales Database
- Participating in sales calls / onsite visits and determines appropriate resources or representation by other SunGard Departments to 'close the deal'
- Ability to Cross-sell other SunGard Products
- Being current on market and industry trends
- Maintaining and improving Client Satisfaction.
Position Requirements:
The successful candidate will have;
- Solid knowledge of the Financial markets in General and the Swiss market in particular
- Fluency in both German and English, French a plus
- Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
- 2 years minimum sales experience serving the Financial Services data management and/or technology community
- Prior Sales, Relationship Management Customer Service experience, business to business required
- Proven track record of closing business in strategic accounts and achieving assigned sales quota
- Ability to demonstrate needs based selling
- Experience with interactions on senior level with various business partners across the organization
- Strong listening, questioning, positioning and presentation skills
- Strong negotiating skills required
- Strong organizational, inter-personal and written communication skills.
