Junior Sales Research
Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
As part of the evolution of our Cash business, the opportunity for an Junior Equity Research person looking to build upon their experience to date is now available.
Reporting to Head of Research Sales, you will support a broad team of professional Equities sales people and analysts, offering you a balance between analysis, idea generation and sales. You will actively participate in sales and income generation activities for the business and provide clients with equity news flow, research views, technical information and trading opportunities. Your ability to work within a fast-paced and pressured dealing room environment and to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, within Australia and globally, will be essential.
You will:
- submit a covering letter and concise resume (as one document)
- hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or Commerce
- demonstrate some experience building a career to date in Equities research, sales and trading or be looking to further develop your experience gained to date
- have gained experience in analysing and modelling of investment proposals
- be pro-active, able to generate creative opportunities for the business
- display strong numerical, verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail across all areas
- enjoy a challenging, dynamic business environment, be results focussed and able to deal with pressure
