Junior Team Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a Junior Team Assistant to join the Global Investment Banking Team, assisting Senior Management, for a large International Bank based on Canary Wharf. This is a great opportunity to begin your career as a professional and polished PA! (Temporary rolling contract)
Candidates must have previous demonstrable experience in a Junior PA/ Assistant position or an Administration role to be considered for this post.
Job Purpose
To provide assistance to the 3 EA’s in the Senior Management Team. The role will also encompass admin support to the Analysts and Associates in the PSG team within the Global Banking. Duties are varied and with varying degrees of complexity. Information is of a confidential nature requiring discretion. There will be regular contact / communication with senior assistants / bankers.
Job Background/context
Global Banking encompasses both Investment and Corporate Banking teams across two floors. The business is split into industry or region franchises of varying sizes.
Key Responsibilities
• Screen calls and take messages, incoming mail and receive visitors from reception
• Organisation of calls for Franchise Reviews Mid-year reviews
• Assistance of travel arrangements via corporate travel company, which may be complex e.g. organising visas
• Preparation of travel expenses, reconciliation of bankers corporate credit card statements
• Handling confidential company information
• Provide back-up telephone cover for senior banking teams
• Assist and cover for other support staff when required (holiday cover)
• Photocopy, print and fax material
• Monitor and ensure implementation of company policy
• Secondary assistance with diary management for senior bankers
• Set-up new clients and deal number requests via company database
• Stationery ordering
• Arranging couriers
• Ad hoc duties including business card inputting, filing, booking restaurants, arranging taxi’s (locally and abroad)
