Business Overview:
SunGard FastVal is an independent valuation and risk service provider aimed at users of the most sophisticated and complex derivatives. This "bureau service" is delivered over the web as an ASP (Application Service Provider). Additionally we provide analytic models (xll dll) and specialist derivative consulting services. The group aims to cover all derivative and security asset classes but mainly focuses on Equity, Interest Rates/Fixed Income, FX and Credit.
Job Overview:
The Valuations and Risk Services Group is responsible for assisting with pre sales activities including client presentations and demos, the ongoing delivery and support of all these services together with client training and query resolution.
The successful candidate will be expected to work with clients in all aspects of these services. This will be a strong client facing role and where external and internal communication skills are required. The role is demanding and technical, providing an excellent opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced derivative professionals.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the group, with direct client responsibilities. You will be expected to deliver valuations, reports and analysis as required under the clients' contracts, using our proprietary analytic models and applications.
Position Requirements:
Essential Experience Required:
* A good numerate degree
* Good knowledge of derivative valuation techniques
* Good financial background, either theoretical or practical work experience
* Strong team skills
* To demonstrate the required level of technical understanding and ability to learn quickly
* Attention to detail and a business service focus
Desirable Experience Required:
* Experience of a wide variety of OTC derivatives
* Proven experience of structured derivative trading and pricing within an investment bank
* European Language skills, preferably Italian
