KVCAP has an opening for a Spare Kennebec Explorer Driver/KV Van Driver in the Augusta office. The person in this position will be transporting clients to and from medical appointments and/or may operate an accessible bus, with a capacity of up to 18 passengers, along a regularly scheduled route within an assigned area. Position requires moderate twisting, bending, pushing and lifting capabilities. Requirements: Must be at least twenty-one years of age and possess a valid state of Maine Commercial Drivers License with P endorsement including one-year experience as a licensed driver. Have a good driving record with no serious or recurring moving violations; physically able to assist passengers in and out of vehicle including passengers using a wide variety of mobility aids including wheelchairs, walkers, motorized three wheeled scooters, etc and may include lifting and carrying parcels up to fifty pounds. Ability to pass an Agency approved physical examination and pass background checks including a DMV, State Bureau of Investigation and a Department of Human Resources background check.
