Key Account Manager - Motor Vehicle

Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies provides products, services and solutions that enhance our customers' energy efficiency, productivity and operations. Our diverse and innovative products range from complete compressed air systems, tools and pumps to material and fluid handling systems. We also enhance productivity through solutions created by Club Car(R), the global leader in golf and utility vehicles for businesses and individuals.

Increase the profitable sales of IR products, services, and solutions to MVI Key Account(s) using knowledge and experience of advanced assembly solutions, and sales and relationship building skills. Serve as the primary and single point of focus within Industrial Technologies, representing the entire sector to the MVI customer, and for leading all business unit activities necessary to develop an overall relationship.

• Collaborate with MVI Key Account Technical Center to achieve or build on Engineering Approvals and Specifications
• Gain visibility of major projects or programs.
• Collect and interpret information on product range needs in order to identify Key Customer’s present and future trends.
• Identify and build relationships on all levels throughout customer organization. Assumes lead role in customer relationship data and knowledge. Outlines and maintains relationship map between client and Ingersoll-Rand
• Develop, deploy and administer the MVI customer strategy within all sales channels
• Communicate appropriate roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools to other team members as needed
• Serve as the point person in the sector for all Key Account related activities, including but not limited to, strategy development, resource coordination (financial, engineering, etc.), sales reporting, forecasting, technical support, customer service.
• Utilize strategic account sales processes, support tools, and resources
• Ensure the targets in terms of net invoice sales, market contribution, and gross profit are met. Report all activities on a monthly basis.
• Development, deployment, and maintenance of commercial programs (pricing, terms conditions, incentives/rebates, etc.)
• Make joint customer visits with other team members as appropriate
• Transition to Global Leader of specific Key Account (where geographically appropriate) and facilitate Global Contracts

Experience Requirements:
• Strong sales/marketing, business development and technical background in the MVI industry
• Proven successful sales experience of business to business relationships- direct end user contact at all levels is necessary.
• Experience in working with and motivating a matrix sales organization
• Vast experience in electric and DC tools and implementation within MVI customer’s plants
• Ten (10) years of experience

Educational requirement /Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Engineering, MBA preferred
• Above average leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including ability to influence within a matrix organization
• Good analytical capability
• Open minded personality, prepared to support the customer-oriented culture
• Willing to travel extensively throughout North and South America (estimated travel expectations being 50%+)
