Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.
The Information Services Division is responsible for:
- managing the Bank's technology infrastructure;
- supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems; and
- delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and services.
The Division provides each major business in the Bank with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.
The role of the Support Analyst is to deliver and support desktop and office based technology solutions for all groups across Macquarie.
Key responsibilities will include business application and operating system support, local data centre support, process improvement initiatives and ensuring the maintenance of bank-wide standards for desktop services.
General Responsibilities include:
- Delivering a client focussed service experience for technology user queries in a professional and timely manner while demonstrating the highest standards of written and verbal communication.
- Build and maintain a standardised global service offering through peer group collaboration.
- Undertaking co-ordinated incident management in liaison with other operational teams.
- Ownership of technology problems or requests until satisfactorily resolved.
- Working with the Service Desk, Problem Management and other technology teams to deliver continual service improvement and ensure business requirements are being met.
- Deliver smaller operational projects on a daily basis, such as staff moves, software deployments or office relocations.
- Working with business teams to effectively manage our computer assets through the lifecycle.
- Assisting with the support of Macquarie offices where there are no technology staff onsite.
- Liaising with external contractors for electrical or data work as required.
- Willingness to understand local IT compliance and work with the teams to ensure obligations are met, including business continuity and external exchange requirements and audit items.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Responsibility for local data centre or communications room support and maintenance.
Basic technical responsibilities:
- Providing high level support of the Microsoft SOE - Windows 7/XP, Office 2007/2003.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- Ability to support and troubleshoot issues with technologies: including but not limited to: Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Cabling), Linux/Unix, Remote Access Connectivity (iPass/VPN), Telephony (Syntegra Dealing Consoles/VoIP/Voice Recording) and Blackberry.
- Thorough knowledge of Desktop, LAN, peripheral device installation and support is essential.
- IT consultancy on peripherals and new technology.
- Build and share knowledge of business applications across the group.
- Familiarity with Blackberry, iPhone and iPad client and management software.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of business applications where firstsecond level support may be required.
- After hours support may be required, particularly in sites with data centres or communications rooms. This may include such activity as power downs or business continuity testing.
- Additional or more specific technical skills can be included to shape role for dealing room, remote office, or remote office in a country with specific requirements.
