KYC Manager (Commodities Specialist)

As the KYC Manager you will be managing and leading a skilled KYC team in a dynamic and fast moving environment being the first point for contact for all KYC/ AML issues, queries and processes. Not only will you be looking after the performance of initial review of counter-party due diligence and regulatory classification, you will also be giving assistance to your KYC analyst. Additionally, you will be reviewing client information to ensure it adheres to the business' KYC/ AML regulatory obligations.

Working and managing the KYC team your principal responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

*Being the technical KYC/ AML advisor to provide detailed advice and support to the business.

*Managing the daily activities of the KYC team within deadlines and implement operational plans for conducting counter-party due diligence.

*Ensure On boarding/ Compliance/ KYC and AML processes are consistent and strictly adhered to, and that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

*Ensure processes are within regulations and country specific jurisdictions.

*Building relationships and liaising with various internal stakeholders including Traders/ Legal/ Compliance etc. and external parties.

*Initiate process improvements to continually provide effective and efficient service.

*Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and KRIs within set standards.

*Being involved in AML/ KYC projects.

*Develop, lead and motivate, monitor, and review the team to ensure that high-quality work is conducted at all times.

To qualify for the role you MUST have:

*Degree educated or equivalent.

*Membership of a technical or professional AML/ KYC body (advantageous).

*Extensive experience of working in a KYC/ AML role within a financial services or commodities trading business.

*Detailed knowledge and technical understanding of KYC/ AML rules and regulations and the practical implications in a commercial environment.

*Robust and in-depth knowledge of MiFID.

*Solid understanding of typical risk structures and applying risk based approaches using initiatives to perform critical analysis.

*In-depth knowledge of country specific jurisdictions.

*Practical experience of dealing with external regulators such as FSA and SOCA, in addition to various internal stakeholders.

*Practical experience of dealing with a wide range of high-risk clients.

*Practical experience of working within EMEA region covering both Oil Gas

*Proven KYC/ AML process improvements or project work experience

*Exceptional people management and leadership skills.

*Articulate communication skills.
