Lab Technican
TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking an Lab Technician clients in Houston, TX. Responsibilities: Carry out experiments according to clearly defined safety and environment guidelines. Partner with program scientists and project leaders in the planning and execution of experiments. Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory record keeping. Perform data entry, records management and effective communication of results. Demonstrate initiative by suggesting lab improvement projects through application of new techniques or new equipment. Implement equipment modifications under the direction of company personnel. Requirements Essentials: Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. Associates degree or equivalent work experience in chemical synthesis or chemical laboratory operations preferred. Must possess a high degree of safety consciousness and demonstrate basic safety skills in the handling of toxic / hazardous materials. Basic knowledge of reaction chemistry and chemical nomenclature, and experience with basic analytical instrumentation (GC, AA, MS, etc.). Skilled in general wet chemistry techniques. Ability to multi-task and work well with others in a team environment. Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
