Location: Darwin (with travel to remote/regional communities townships) Position number: N05
Broadband width: SPO (Base Salary S67,686 - $75,943) Estimated package (ex-super): $72,808 - $82,798 Contract term: Start ASAP until 19/09/2012
Increase Aboriginal economic development activities in parks. reserves and other protected or conservation areas in the NLC Region and manage a range of initiatives, projects and programs designed to benefit traditional owners and regional and remote communities.
Provide a high standard of analysis, reporting and advice to the NLC and facilitate or conduct effective consultations with relevant Aboriginal people and agencies on issues relating to existing or proposed joint management arrangements.
Applicants should have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or previous natural and cultural resource management experience and possess a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Aboriginal people.

Contract term: 1 year contract — End date 30th June 2013
Assist with the computing and communication service operations of remote, community based land and sea management ranger groups by providing advice, service and training. Duties include the setting up of personal computers and printers in both stand-alone and networked environments as well the implementation and support of voice and data communication equipment.
Formal qualifications in a computing related discipline are highly desirable. Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of computing hardware, operating systems and LANS, including a minimum of three years commercial Information Technology experience. A willingness to travel to remote localities within NLC's region and possession of an NT driver's license is essential.
