Land Management Consultant Job in Cambridge, Southern UK

Thatcher Energy are currently recruiting for a large environmental consultancy who provide environmental solutions, rural development services and policy advice.

 

Due to their current requirements they are looking to appoint a Land Management Consultant on a permanent basis to their Cambridge office.

 

The scope of the work package is as follows:

 

Develop and execute work plans/programmes relating to land management

Managing method statements, HSE risk assessments and site waste plans

Manage both internal and external contractors and technical experts

Control the land management works contracts on time and within budget

Oversee on site practical works

Act as a client representative when attending meetings and throughout consultations

Perform desk studies, field studies, data collection and analysis and writing reports

 

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and have 4 years of experience in a practical position in a relevant organisation or consultancy. They will have experience of managing land management plans with a broad knowledge of ecology, habitats, conservation, forestry and agriculture. In addition, experience of consulting with stakeholders and account development is essential. Other necessary skills include report writing, project management and being proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel. A current, full driving licence is also a requirement.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have an additional qualification in a relevant subject and in depth, comprehensive understanding in ecology, habitats, conservation, forestry or agriculture. Furthermore, they will have membership to a relevant professional body.

This is a permanent opportunity looking to pay £29k-£32k. The role will be based in Cambridge.
