This is one of the most interesting technology positions currently on the market. A highly prestigious Systematic Trading firm seeks an expert technologist who will be responsible for:
- Tuning the performance of the firm’s trading algorithms and systems
- Analysing and re-factoring their market links to reduce overall round-trip latency
- Finding, testing, setting up new hardware and network systems on which their trading systems run.
- Finding new techniques on how to improve their trading systems in production.
- Designing and delivering code with automated testing performance always in mind.
- Become subject matter experts in exchange functionality and implementation.
The successful candidate will therefore be an expert C/C++ developer with experience delivering ultra-low-latency applications. The candidate will have expert networking skills (TCP/IP/UDP) and will have an understanding of hardware and how it interfaces with software to reduce latency.
Candidates need not have any prior financial experience or any knowledge of finance but they must be willing to learn and make that transition into a fast-paced trading environment.
Academic degree in engineering or computer science from a top university is essential.
