Senior AVP Synthetic Equities Product Control recruitment
Part of the wider Prime Services Product Control team - supports a) Equity (Stock Borrow/Lending) Fixed Income Financing Desks; b) Govt Corporate Repo Desks; c) Equity Synthetics Desk d) Futures Execution Clearing.
• PL reporting – prepare PL for CFD daily reporting for London Asia Trading Desks and managing day to day desk relationship
• Prepare and manage monthly dividend reporting and reserves
• Assist with the building out of new controls around FX exposure MTM (to verify that desk is running no risk).
• Daily review escalation with manager of PC adjustments to adhere to a “know and substantiate your adjustments” policy supplemented with aging and a process for clearing and managing away (with MO, Ops, FO etc.)
• Facilitate with balance sheet substantiation at month end
• Project work around business expansion, strategic infrastructure developments and process/control enhancements (UAT migration testing will be a key deliverable for ’11 where the expectation that the current booking platforms will be migrated to strategic architecture)
Preferred candidate profile:
- Previous product control experience
- Previous team management experience
- Good understanding and appreciation of financial markets and derivatives
- Qualified accountant
