An opportunity has arisen to join a superb rising star within the London Oil and Gas Consultancy space, with global reputation and client base over of 200 who are located in numerous countries worldwide.
The Role
The role sits within the upstream oil analytics team who specialize in the analysis and forecasting of short and long term developments in the international oil and gas markets. We are looking for an individual who has experience within the upstream oil gas sector who can focus on the Latin American region. The role will focus on supply and demand economics including production, consumption, pricing and behavioural trends within this market. The role will include forecasting the short term and long term trends of the oil markets within the South American region including analysing some of fastest growing emerging economies in the world. The role is research based including qualitative market report writing and an individual with a strong numerate ability to add value to the team. Furthermore, the role will include engagement with key industry leaders and market experts and the opportunity to join a team providing strategic advice and bespoke solutions to the global market. Portuguese / Spanish language skills are Essential due to the Region that the analysis is focusing on.

The Person
- A strong numerate degree ideally in Economics / Mathematics or similar from a top tier University is ESSENTIAL (MSc, MA, PhD or Equiv).
- An analytical mind set along with the quantitative and conceptual problem solving experience.
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade internal management teams and external investors.
- Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience of oil market research and analysis with a focus of the Latin American region is desirable.
- Language skills are ESSENTIAL including Portuguese / Spanish.
-Strong Excel ability.
