Lead Business Analyst – Finance – Risk – RWA – Investment Bank – VP recruitment

Leading Investment Bank require a Lead VP level Business Analyst to work on major global technology projects within their Finance Function.  The applications within finance currently source data from many different upstream systems in a variety of non standard formats, utilizing a number of different ETL systems to validate and transform the data for loading into downstream ledger and risk reporting environments. This represents a complex multi-application environment. The Business Analyst will be working on multiple projects concerning these systems. One of the projects involves RWA and aims  to implement the infrastructure and processes required to take advantage of complex RWA calculation method under Basel II and the recent pronouncements made re RWA in Q3 2010. Another project is concerned with the re-engineering of the Finance business process and underlying application architecture. The aims of the Programme are to rationalise the Finance business and application landscape, ensuring that an appropriate business process and supporting application architecture is in place. The Business Analysis Lead has the primary responsibility to manage the day to day activities of a team of business analysts and to upwardly manage the needs and expectations of multiple business stakeholders. The BA Lead will be able to understand the needs and priorities of the various business areas together with the dependencies and impacts that their requirements have on the day to day function of the BA team and the development team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Investment Banking Lead BA, ideally with a solid knowledge of Finance and Risk ie RWA, EPE and Credit Risk exposure models. A good understanding of application architecture i.e ETL (ideally informatica), Java, oracle is also required. All applicants should have end-to-end experience of the project lifecycle and strong analysis skills.
