Lead Business Analyst Job in Chicago 60601, Illinois US

SUMMARY:

 

This role will be primarily responsible for 1) coordinating financial planning with Agile PMO project planning efforts, 2) assisting in financial modeling for planning and strategic initiatives, and 3) assisting in long term financial planning efforts.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with all levels of management to gather and analyze information.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Perform pricing/financial analysis in the areas of modeling, forecasting, financial results reporting and variance analysis, detailed profitability analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Perform economic analyses and trends that will communicate clear understanding of business conditions and necessary actions needed from critical team members.
• Develop and lead communication, coordination, and alignment between Agile PMO and Business Planning efforts.
• Provide analytical insight to the plan highlighting risks, opportunities and areas for critical monitoring.
• Provide other ad-hoc reporting support as needed.
• Participate in the development of business cases, taking into account market, competitive, technological changes in our business.
• Capital Projects - financial support analysis, new facility capital improvements, and technology projects.
• Financial Support - business case justification and return on investment analysis of major pricing decisions.

REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science; other quantitative field or equivalent
• Master's degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 7+ years experience
• 3 to 5 years general business experience in consulting, operations, product management, sales, business development or project management roles
• Expertise level of knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
• Database Management skills ideal
• Business Analysis experience in a software development environment desired
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of information into a cohesive story/recommendation
• Ability to effectively prepare presentation information for senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Individual must be able to handle multiple projects and be skilled in financial modeling.
• Ability to relate financial imperatives derived from pricing analysis to management.
• Provide analysis of cost structure for the purpose of understanding trends.
• Proactive in lending support/expertise in the areas of pricing and cost to functional departments.
