Overview:

Deutsche Bank (DB) is a leading global investment bank with a strong and profitable private clients franchise with over 100,000 employees in 72 countries. The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Division is responsible for Deutsche Bank's capital markets business, comprising the origination, sales and trading of capital markets products including debt, equity, and other securities.

The Global Valuations Group (GVG) has operational responsibility for ensuring that all fair value positions are subject to independent valuation control (IPV), acts as a centre of excellence for valuation issues and also has a mandate covering policy, reserving and other valuation related issues. GVG has approximately 180 employees globally operating from centres in London, New York, Singapore and Mumbai and is supported by the GVG Change The Bank (CTB) Team of approximately 30 employees who manage all aspects of change within GVG.

The GVG function has recently come under intense regulatory scrutiny, and regulatory requirements are the major driver in much of the CTB work for the current year, which include implementing daily IPV and supporting new IFRS standards. For Equities, there is an additional project to support the front office migration onto new Risk Engine platforms, which is one of the banks top 20 programmes. These change initiatives, as well as meeting specific regulatory and front.

This role is a Lead Business Analyst role in the Equities GVG CTB team.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for developing business requirements definition, documentation and sign off (current and future state) and process and data analysis.
Provides thought leadership within own area of responsibility and the BA profession within DB.
Liaises with programme / project managers, client, functional analysts and developers to ensure the IT build is in line with the business requirements raised.
Responsible for definition of testing requirements together and execution of user acceptance testing.
Engage with key business and IT stakeholders to identify changing client needs, market trends and introduces new processes and technology to enhance the BA service offering within DB.
Develop and foster operational excellence across Finance - CTB, drawing on good and best practice internally across DB and externally within the marketplace.
Ensure best practice quality assurance of project deliverables; understands works within agreed architectural process, data and organisational frameworks.
Provide direction and manage, develop and empower own resources to deliver excellence in Operations in a matrix organisation.

You will have:

1st/2.1 from a top tier university (or equivalent).
Mathematics A-level grade A (desirable).
A Prince 2 qualification or equivalent (desirable).
Strong relevant product knowledge (possibly gained in either a Product Control or IPV line role).
Project experience as a Senior BA or PM.
Management experience and the ability to lead and coach other BAs.
Process mapping tools and techniques, knowledge and ability to build use cases.
Expert level analytical and problem solving skills, able to show flexibility regarding problem solving.
Advanced knowledge in MS Office products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
Awareness of Quality Management tools and techniques.
Advanced communication skills (written/verbal).
The ability to work in fast paced environment.
