Summary:
We are looking to hire qualified Lead Foremen who might also be asked to complete detailed site surveys for a large multi year program Davaco has recently been awarded. The appropriate candidates must meet Davaco’s requirements for appearance, cleanliness, safety and professionalism in addition to being very knowledgeable in the field of construction. Site surveys will be completed in many locations across the country and require a surveyor to conduct themselves in a very professional manner. Surveyors must be able to follow precise guidelines with an exact attention to detail. Surveyors must be comfortable with laptop Pocket PC technology.
Lead Foreman need to be able to complete small scope construction jobs for a wide variety of customers mostly in the Restaurant, Resort, Cinema, and Gas and Convenience Industries. Lead Foremen need to be able to participate in the hands on work process to complete these projects but also be able to direct and coordinate the activities of trade groups such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers and painters. These positions require excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Davaco organization as well as all client representatives involved in the program.
General Requirements:
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have valid drivers license
• The ability to travel frequently and be away from home for multiple days weeks at a time
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach, stand, kneel and climb ladders during the course of site surveys.
• Should have three to five years experience as a Lead Foreman in the retail / restaurant construction industry and have experience with metal framing, drywall, FRP work, finishing work, acoustic ceilings, paint work and tile work
• Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills.
• The ability to handle multiple projects / tasks
• The appropriate candidate will need to be able to communicate in a professional manner with all persons associated with the program, especially all client representatives.
• The ability to prioritize work, maintain a positive attitude and composure in stressful situations.
• The ability to use similar or equivalent technology as DAVACO technology as it pertains to collecting and communicating data, via hand held PPC, Outlook, Excel, digital camera, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
• Must be able to work as part of the DAVACO Field Execution team as well as supervise some sub trades.
• Must be able to plan, execute and close out multiple projects in short periods of time to the satisfaction of the client.
• Must have a good understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading
• Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings and construction drawings.
• Communicate potential change orders to Project Manager as soon as they become known.
• Manage and communicate client concerns, problems or complaints on assigned projects.
• Ensure communication of potential survey changes or differences to Project Manager as soon as they become known.
• Ensure all client portal information, job reports, and documents are submitted correctly and on time.
