Position Description: The American Red Cross Investment Operations Division supports operations for Endowment and Retirement System. Custodial and accounting transactions are processed by the custodial bank. The Lead Investment Operations Analyst will work in the Investments Department, reporting to Senior Director Investment Operations. Be expected to understand the operational complexities for execution and recordkeeping of all investment assets of the corporation and to provide day-to-day back up (as needed) for Senior Director and other team members. Work closely with Accounting during the audit process relating to all data needs involving the existence, valuation, and reconciliation of investment line items, income and fees. Manage data requests, including audit requests of data from the custodial bank; prepare required reconciliations and roll-forwards, compile assigned investment audit reports and schedules, ensure all deadlines are met Be liaison between Investment Operations and accounting for investment accounting policy and reporting policy issues Document investment accounting policies with oversight from accounting and Senior Director Investment Operations. Provide guidance to investment and operational staff on implementation of investment accounting policies. Assist in development and maintenance of Operations procedures. Assist Senior Director in development and implementation of valuation policies Maintain adequate documentation on deviations from accounting standards and best practices, Research and implement action plan for identified differences in cost basis and unfunded commitments between custodial bank, ARNC databases and the Fund or Manager. Facilitate valuation of troubled assets Actively participate in electronic document management function. Receive, electronically file and solicit missing documents Apply
