Lead Manager, EMEA Middle Office & Global Trade Support recruitment

Based from our office at Bank, this newly created position has dual responsibilities. The position oversees the daily Middle Office and Accounting processes in EMEA (London) as well as having global responsibility for the Trade Support procedures. In this broader capacity, the position works directly with investment staff, brokers, custodian banks, internal and external accounting agents and other operational teams (in the USA, London and Asia) to design, implement and execute effective and fluid processes to support the needs of internal and external customers. 

As the manager for the EMEA Middle Office, the position acts as an escalation point within EMEA for issue analysis and resolution. It also specifically manages the London Trade Support, Corporate Actions, Pricing, Investment Data, and Portfolio Accounting teams (currently approximately 15 people).

As the global manager for Trade Support, the position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the Trade Support function globally. This entails proactively identifying business needs and establishing direction and development for the department. The Manager sets customer driven goals and expectations for the department and provides feedback to the management team, sponsors and oversees department wide projects, providing business and technical expertise, resource prioritization and setting budget/scope/schedule. The position manages the relationships with brokers and custodians, establishing SLA’s and measuring broker and custodian performance. 

The successful candidate will have direct operations management experience from a high quality financial services organisation(s). They will possess technical and operation expertise of Investment Operations and have significant and demonstrable people and change management skills. Communication and influencing ability will be vital to success of this role as is the ability to promote strategic thinking and long term vision.
