One of our Financial Services clients are looking for multiple Lead PMO’s to join the Programme Management Office. The role will be to establishment and manage the programme office function in line with agreed group wide policies and standards. The PMO Lead will be forward thinking and have the ability to manage stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and supporting Project and Programme Managers.
The client is looking for someone who worked at a senior level and is familiar with setting up PMO functions to deliver projects and programmes with a set delivery framework and reporting process. You will need to ensure best practise is followed and all deliverables are achieved on time and within the scope/requirements of the initial project. You will have team responsibilities including line management, career development and future recruitment so this is an essential skill/experience.
Essential Skills:
• Experience of establishing and managing PMO teams including finance controls, risk management, configuration management, change control, planning and reporting, resource and demand management.
• First class communication skills with the ability to adapt style and manner of engagement as appropriate to suit stakeholders
• Previously lead a PMO team and identified areas for staff skills development in more junior members
• Experience of working in highly complex environments ideally with a strong background in supporting the delivery of regulatory programmes
• Ability to handle some instances of ambiguity and demonstrate a flexible and pragmatic approach to the operation of a PMO
• Ability to proactively drive the completion and maintenance of project/programme artifacts
• Prince 2 / ISEB / ITIL
