Lead Test Engineer Job

The Lead Test Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Essential Responsibilities - Establish Blower / Compressor Test plans - Lead technical personnel in all aspects of engineering validation - Integrate engineering requirements with Test techs, GTE, IFS and Customers in preparation for, and during Testing - Create and manage overall scheduling for assigned prototype tests - Develop test SOP's, Doc and train - Assure proper safeguards are taken for all equipment removed for purposes of test support - Lead or participate in technology and program level reviews - Provide hands-on support of the technical teams preparing and executing test programs and tests - Maintain an ISO certified Quality System - Perform and analyze basic and advanced testing needed for product development activities in the Engineering Laboratory - Write and develop programs to automate and monitor tests - Oversee the weekly audit tests on product, record results, and communicate any quality alerts as necessary - Ensure that the lab techs are performing the various tests properly - Analyze weekly data test results and provide summary - Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep in the lab by insuring that the labs systems are functioning properly - Test existing product changes and new product developments as directed by the Lab Supervisor - Recommend and develop improved testing processes and techniques SOP's Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Physical science - Minimum 3 years experience in testing, test evaluation, and a manufacturing environment Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
