Senior Buyer, Purchasing

This position manages and facilitates procurement activities between the department, other business units and suppliers. Ensure that quality products are obtained for the most competitive price while not impacting the ability to deliver against the company and departmental plan for the continued growth of the organization.

Manages products which are designed, sourced and manufactured worldwide using a network of approved vendors. Buyers are expected to stay current with trends, manufacturing methods, manufacturing materials and all laws relating to the products we buy and distribute. This position is responsible for sourcing products used as premiums in our real estate programs. Prioritized and monitors work and evaluates results while providing leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff.

*Works with the Real Estate Project Managers to coordinate the delivery of owner furnished material
*Supports the Project Managers, Architects, Purchasing Manager and Retail Operations to investigate issues with material deficiencies and defects and work with the supplier to resolve the issue and provide recommendations to prevent the issue from reoccuring.
*Provide Value Engineering recommendations through new specifications, manufacturing processes and/or alternate suppliers.
*Works with Architecture and Design to produce and maintain a catalog with corresponding idenitfying part numbers for all product that is used throughout all Bank Stores and Corporate Real Estate. Catalaog to also include specifcations, sketches and recommended manufactuers with pre-approved alternates
*Liaison to Strategic Sourcing for the Development Services Purchasing Department. Work with SSG and Architecture to continue to solicit new vendors and refine the scopes within the Master Service Agreements
*Review all project plans and specifications and verify scope is actually assigned to the applicable owner furnished vendors and captured in their master Service Agreements, on their proposals and within the purchase orders.
*Issue OFIs as necessary and work with Architecture to develop bulletins and/or revised plans to communicate clarifications and scope changes to the field
*Supports and delivers product for various divisions within Real Estate including but not limited to Retail Real Estate, Corporate Real Estate, Asset Reinvestment and Facility Management
*Manages and facilitates all facets of supply management activities between the department, other business units and suppliers. Ensure that quality products are obtained for the most competitive price while not impacting the ability to deliver against the company and departmental plan for the continued growth of the organization according to established Company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines.
*Manages all Vendors, Suppliers and Manufacturers integral to the procurement of products necessary for the continued development of the bank.
*Evaluates the performance of existing vendors, as well as the abilities of potential vendors to provide products and services to the end users of the organization
*Develops and maintains an updated scope of work for all vendor disciplines *Continues to bring innovative ideas to the procurement proces. *Audits vendors to ensure they follow and abide by the company and departmental policies and procedures. *Locates, analyzes and develops a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future procurement needs

4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
7 Years of related experience
*Strong knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.
*Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred.
*Strong negotiating skills with demonstrated experience leading complex supplier negotiations.
*PC Skills, MS Word and Excel
