The School of Civil Engineering seeks outstanding leaders for three new Industry funded Chairs to initiate new strategic and innovative research directions and to capitalize on forthcoming advanced laboratory facilities within a new Engineering building that will house the School.
The role The successful appointees will provide high level teaching and research leadership, supervise research students at honours and postgraduate levels and consult with undergraduate and postgraduate
students. You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and postgraduates to build a thriving research group and attract competitive and industry research funding.
The person Applicants should possess a PhD and an international reputation in the appropriate discipline, plus demonstrated evidence of research
and research output at an internationally excellent standard, combined with a strong record in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to establish effective relationships at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies.
Remuneration The remuneration packages will be negotiated with the successful candidates and will include 17% employer superannuation contributions and industry loadings commensurate with experience. These are full-time, continuing appointments.
